How I got here
I needed to see the thing I was building
I could never learn to code the normal way. I needed to see the thing I was building, so in 2016 I started on Bubble. Over the next years I built more than thirty client projects on Bubble, Noodl and other low-code tools. Then Claude Code arrived. I used it to rebuild a whole visual app builder, and that builder is NodeGX, with every commit public on GitHub.
The trainer
I’m a Cambridge DELTA qualified professional trainer, having trained adults since 2009. I ran a team of trainers, as well as my own Qualiopi certified training organisation. In six months of the Covid lockdowns I trained around 200 language trainers to teach online. I have a maths degree from Queen’s University Belfast.
The developer
I’ve been building software since 2016. Since late 2024 I’ve been the part-time CTO of an events-technology startup, where I benchmarked the major AI models and built an assistant for conferences on the Claude API.
What I work on today
Four things
NodeGX and NodeGX Studio
The editor, the packages, the backend and the releases, for The Low Code Foundation.
Claude and Claude Code for teams
I design and deliver it for teams, training organisations and consultancies, in English or French, remote or on site.
Founders taking an app to launch
Building is the easy part. I help with the parts that aren’t easy: security, testing, releases and real users.
Apps built in NodeGX
With the graph as the thing I can read, check and vouch for in front of the client.
Working with me
My rate starts at €90 an hour
The rest is written down on my site, with fixed prices for a day of delivery, a training day and an audit of the app you already have. A first call is free and shorter than you’d expect. I’m based in France and can travel.
